The night of the Museums<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This mural is for ‘The night of the Museums’ (La Nuit des Mus\u00e9es) and ‘Place aux Arts’ in Reims, France.<\/p>

It was created in order to reinterpret a 12th century sculpture which is a major piece of the history of Reims and Saint-Remi Basilica. This sculpture of King Lothaire was beheaded during the French Revolution. At the same time, when the flames ravaged Notre-Dame de Paris and a few months after the destruction in the Arc de Triomphe, during the protests of yellow vests, i was called to demonstrate how the heritage survives voluntary or accidental destruction and becomes a colorful history.<\/p>

The whole idea was to make a connection between the worlds of the museum and the streets’, the city’s heritage and graffiti. To combine the Middle Ages’ figuration and the 21st century’s abstraction. \u2063<\/p>
